Center for Tribology, Inc. is the leading supplier of test equipment for tribological and mechanical tests on macro, micro and nano levels. The universal testing platform UMT allows for numerous tests such as rotary and reciprocating wear, friction and adhesion, scratch and fatigue, nano and micro hardness,  elastic and plastic properties. It has optional heating and cooling, humidity, vacuum and gas chambers, as well as microscope and AFM.

The macro-tribometer UMT-3 performs pin/ball-on-disc, disc-on-disc, fast-reciprocating/fretting, block-on-ring and 4-ball tests at the loads up to 1 kN. The nano+micro tester UNMT-1 performs indentation, scratching, wear and imaging on ultra-thin films.
